BMW X6. Ancestor of the new segment.
Attempts to combine different types of cars have been more than once. Some attempts have been more or less successful, but the majority of its customers refused to buy such «hybrids». In the BMW Group decided to seek other ways - to take what is best, and add additional components. Outwardly, BMW X6 crossover can be described as ordinary, but the authors prefer to call new models - coupe SUV with advanced features (and not vice versa). As a choice for a name (Sports Activity Coupe) and the model itself remains to be seen, but there is a persistent hunch that this will be a bestseller.
The new BMW X6 is offered in two versions: xDrive50i with the 4.4 liter engine V8, a capacity of 400 hp, and the xDrive35i with the 3.5 liter engine, the output of 300 hp Both power units are equipped with turbo and direct injection. The base configuration BMW X6 is smart full drive xDrive, electronically controlled redistribution of power between the front and rear axle. The newest system of DPC (Dynamic Performance Control), first applied it to the BMW X6, in turn, ensures the distribution of power between the rear wheels.
Designed by BMW X6 (and title) clearly indicates the continuity of new items in relation to other models with the letter «X», but appears in a new, extremely sporting style. The typical «cut» of the grille in the front bumper and a large percentage of colored body parts, attached to the front of the car lower and dynamic look. It is not usually look located on the sides of front bumper intakes with integrated fog lamps. But most importantly - it is a form of body with short front and extended sloping roof in the style of this coupe.
Rear BMW X6 is divided in several horizontal lines that make it visually more widespread, and the rear glass and the door is attached to the car even greater similarity to the coupe. It is noteworthy big chrome exhaust pipes square tubes, as well as new lights with horizontal stripes inside.
